Zidane & Del Piero – Predators

I don’t know if the two brands wanted it or if it was chance, but the footballers (mainly those from the 90s) were divided into 2 types of categories.
The players highlighted at Nike were generally strikers, superstars, fast, versatile, ultra technical, the type capable of humiliating anyone in 1 on 1, iconic YouTube compilations (both Ronaldo, Henry, Ronaldinho, Neymar, Zlatan …).
The players at @adidasfootball had a much more behind the scenes profiles, strong on the first touch, number 10s aura, often a little slow, custodians of the long game, short game, they are game creators and distributors outstanding, the type to take all the set pieces for themselves like Beckham, Riquelme, Kaka, Gerrard, Lampard… And it’s difficult to think of the most famous Adidas pair, the Predator, without thinking of the two players who are in themselves a synthesis of what it represented: @zidane and @alessandrodelpiero . It’s completely crazy to think that @juventus was able to field two players of this size together, with very similar qualities (Del Piero is also a refined scorer), for 5 years. Unpopular opinion: I think that Juventus at the end of the 90s is one of the most underdog sides in history. 2 Champions League finals in 2 years doesn’t happen to just anyone, not to mention the Scudettos and the various Cup.
