From the confrontation between Bayern Munich and Barcelona since the start of the 2010’s, there are a lot of things to say. From the outrageous 7-0 on aggregate in 2013 (the RIbery/Robben era is highly undervalued), to the legendary 8-2 during the pandemic, I think it’s pretty fair to say that Bayern has become Barcelona bête noire. Since 2010, both teams faced up a total of 9 times in Champions League, 8 wins for the Germans (!!!) and one win for the Culers.

The thing is, everybody can remember very well that one time, because of what Messi did at the 80th minute. For my part, it’s in the top 3 of the most overwhelming skill I have seen a player doing in 1vs1.
Boateng has been fooled by the way that Messi can transfer his weight on the booth of his feet extremely quickly. It’s almost like his brain told him to go to the right, but his body was already going to the left, resulting in a very strange fall. Like if someone turned him off.
Seeing this action again, I for sure find the dribble incredible, but I’m as much impressed by the way that Messi finished against Neuer. Like, he knew he just « killed » one of the best defender of the world (Boateng had just won a World cup), but he didn’t got carried away, stay focus on his touch, and lift the ball just on top of, again, the best goalkeeper in the world at that time, Manuel Neuer, who did not provoke him intelligently before the match (« If I Face Messi, the most important is to show who is the boss »LMAO). After that goal, who was the second of the three that Barca were going to score that evening, it’s been pretty obvious that nothing would stop this team from winning the champions league.

My art being based on football greatest moment, be sure you will find a couple more of Messi highlight here, because even if you are not a Barcelona fan( I’m not), you have to admit it: what a genius !
